Saltillo tile Restoration

Saltillo (and other Mexican terracotta) is soft, porous, and handmade, which is why it looks beautiful but stains, fades, and builds up old sealer or wax over time.

Common issues we fix: Yellowed or cloudy sealer, dark or crumbling grout, surface dirt in the pores, chips, and faded color.

Our process:

- Assess the existing finish (wax, acrylic, polyurethane, Epoxy) and overall condition.

- Prepare the area (move furniture, protect baseboards and cabinets).

- Strip old sealer or wax completely so the true clay shows through utilizing our enviromently safe stripping products.

- Deep-clean tiles and grout to remove embedded dirt and excess moisture.

- Repair chips repair cracked tiles in place, replace severely damaged tiles when needed, and refresh or color-match grout.

- Allow full drying, then apply high-quality  ultra durable topical sealers that enhance color and protect against future stains and easy clean ability using durable, low- or no-VOC products.

The result is the warm, rich look of new Saltillo without tearing out your original floor.

Travertine & Natural Stone Floors

Travertine, flagstone, marble, limestone, and other natural stones respond best to mechanical restoration (honing and polishing) rather than simple cleaning.

Common issues we fix: Dull or etched surfaces, scratches, lippage (uneven tiles), pits or holes in travertine, stained or failing grout, and lost polish.

Our process:

- Assess the stone type, existing finish (honed or polished), and damage.

- Deep-clean and remove any old coatings or residue.

- Fill pits, chips, and cracks with color-matched filler (especially important for travertine).

- Grind and hone with progressive diamond abrasives to level the surface, remove scratches and etch marks, and create a smooth base.

- Polish to the desired finish—matte/honed, satin, or high-gloss—depending on your preference and the stone.

- Apply a quality impregnating sealer matched to the stone’s porosity for long-term stain protection.

This restores the natural beauty and texture while improving durability and ease of cleaning.

Wood Floor Restoration

Hardwood floors can look dramatically better with proper sanding and refinishing instead of replacement.

Common issues we fix: Scratches, worn finish, dull appearance, minor gaps or surface damage, and outdated color.

Our process:

- Assess the wood species, remaining thickness, and condition of the existing finish.

- Prepare the room and protect surrounding areas.

- Sand progressively (coarse to fine grits) to remove the old finish, level the surface, and eliminate scratches.

- Make any necessary repairs (fill minor gaps or imperfections). We also fill in areas that may have had a floor heater taken out leaving a square hole  by weaving in and filling those holes and staining, sealing the wood to match existing flooring

- Stain if a color change is desired, then apply multiple coats of durable polyurethane or the finish of your choice for protection and the desired sheen.

- Allow proper curing time.

The result is a fresh, smooth, protected wood floor that highlights the natural grain.
